Quick and Dirty Review of “The Banshees of Inisherin”
I’m certain that “The Banshees of Inisherin” will be nominated for lots of awards, but it’s one of those movies you watch (like “Raw” or “Irreversible”) where, at the end, you wished you hadn’t seen it. I’m guessing it’s supposed to be a fable or something, but it’s nothing but two hours of depressing and depressed people being mean to each other. If I want that, I’ll just get on Twitter. Don't watch this movie. I'm not saying that in a "reverse psychology way" or some clever attempt to get you to watch this. I mean don't watch this movie. My slightly longer review is here, but just take my advice and skip this one. 2 out of 10 for the cinematography ONLY.
