What is a Viewer's Guide?

I’m a huge fan of the show and decided to watch them all again ahead of the season six premiere—and while I was at it, I thought I might put together a reader’s guide to the first season of the show. Hopefully, other season-specific episode reader’s guides will follow.

These Viewer's Guides include:

  • comprehensive and detailed guides for each episode,
  • character lists, including which recurring characters appeared in which season one episodes,
  • discussion of character arcs over the course of the season,
  • cast notes on interesting guest stars,
  • discussion of how the show creators came up with the concept and adapted it for television
  • information on music from episodes, including track listing, artist information and when the song appeared during the episode
  • location information on where the episode scenes were actually filmed, and
  • other interesting notes about each episode, including interesting trivia, callbacks to previous episodes, and details even the most avid viewer might have missed.

For example: viewers probably remember the creepy Mike Ross doll given to him by the woman who owns the doll company. But did those same eagle-eyed viewers notice the doll when it appeared in the background several episodes later?
